Concerns and removals.
If you are in danger from anyone — including a therapist — this page is not the path: call 112 in the EU, 911 in North America, or a crisis line now.
If something about a listed therapist worries you — conduct, credentials, boundaries, anything — tell us in confidence. Every report is read by a person, and you can report without giving your name, though we can only follow up if you leave a way to reach you.
How to raise a concern
Use the contact form and describe what happened, without including your own health information. Say if you don't want to be contacted. We treat reports confidentially: we do not tell a therapist who reported, and we share details only where needed to act on the concern or where the law requires it — those are the confidentiality limits, stated plainly.
What happens to a report
- A person reads it — nothing is triaged automatically.
- A credible safety concern leads to the listing being suspended while we look, before any conclusion is reached.
- We check what can be checked: registration status at the source, and the facts available to us.
- We record what was checked, the source, the date and the outcome.
- We tell you the outcome that concerns your report, where we can reach you.
Grounds for removal
- Misrepresented credentials, titles or registration status.
- Practising outside a valid registration where one is required.
- Serious conduct findings, or sanctions found at a register re-check.
- Repeated credible concerns that together show a pattern.
- A lapsed registration or insurance declaration that is not renewed after we ask.
What we are not
Saudade Therapy is a directory, not a regulator. We can suspend or remove a listing — the body with real power over a therapist's right to practise is their regulator or chamber, and for serious matters we will point you there and support your report where we can. Removal from the directory is not a finding of professional misconduct; only the regulator can make that finding.
