Work with the diaspora — in the language you both feel in.

Saudade Therapy is a nonprofit directory for licensed psychologists, psychotherapists, and counselors who work in Bosnian, Croatian, or Serbian — whether you practice in the region or abroad. We are building the founding cohort now, before the public launch in late 2026.

What you get, and what it costs

It costs nothing. Commercial platforms typically charge therapists €30–80 per month plus a 5–25% commission per session. Here there is no listing fee, no subscription, and no commission — clients pay you directly, by whatever arrangement the two of you agree, and you keep 100% of your fee. If we ever add optional paid extras to sustain the nonprofit, listing and being found will stay free — and placement in search results will never be for sale, for anyone.

Who can apply

Your profile will always show the exact title you lawfully hold and where — we never inflate credentials, and we ask you not to either. The full methodology is on the vetting page.

How to apply during the pilot

Applications run through the contact form for now — a dedicated application form is coming. Send us one message with:

  1. Full name, and the country where you are licensed or registered
  2. Your credential and title as it appears on your diploma or license
  3. Registry reference — chamber or register name and your number, or a link to your entry
  4. Languages you work in, and your modalities (e.g., CBT, gestalt, EMDR, psychodynamic)
  5. Years of practice, and a few lines on why you want to work with the diaspora

We reply within a few days and continue by email: credential documents and a short video call. Please don't include any client information or personal health information in the message.

Frequently asked

Is it really free — forever?
Listing, vetting, and being found are free and will stay free. We are a nonprofit; if optional paid extras ever exist, they will never affect who appears in results or in what order.
Do you take a cut of my sessions?
No. We never handle money. Clients pay you directly by whatever arrangement you agree together.
I practice in the region — can I see clients abroad online?
Rules on cross-border practice vary by the client's country, and staying within them is your professional responsibility. Your profile always states where you are licensed, so clients can see it plainly. We publish guidance per country as we verify it.
What happens after I'm listed?
Clients contact you directly. We ask clients for private feedback about their experience; serious or repeated concerns lead to removal under a published policy. Licenses are re-checked annually.

Saudade Therapy is not a crisis service. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, find a crisis line for your country — they answer immediately.
